Shaft cooling pump is a kind of pump using delivery medium to cool its shaft. Due to the characteristic of totally no leakage, it’s widely used in many industry areas as environmental equipment, its special structure requires a good environment of vibration and noise. The author took a shaft cooling pump as model, married theoretical calculation, and numerical simulation and testing technology by fluid-structure interaction, analyzed the pressure fluctuation of fluid and deformation and acceleration of solid, thus predicted the fluid-induced vibration performance of shaft cooling pump while running.The numerical method, turbulence model and control equation were introduced firstly. After modeling and meshing the fluid area and solid area according to the drawings, the FSI calculation was taken to contrast the results of simulation with and without FSI method and analyzed the pressure fluctuation of impeller outlet and deformation and acceleration of structure. The results indicates:(1) the results of numerical simulation and modal analysis meet the requirements of design, which shows that the model is reliable; (2) the pressure fluctuation of impeller outlet shows six peaks in one cycle which conforms to the rotating status; (3) the biggest deformation of pump body appears near the cover, the biggest deformation of impeller appears at the middle of outlet, and the deformation is small; (4) the pressure fluctuation of impeller outlet shares one rule in both methods, but the amplitude is different because of deformation; (5) the deformation of pump body and impeller in two ways are similar, but there is an obvious deformation gradient in inlet and outlet of the pump, and the value of deformation is larger in FSI way; (6) the Z-axis acceleration is the main acceleration of pump and impeller, and the FSI process effects the Y-axis acceleration of pump body near the cover most.
