In recent years automobile manufacturing enterprises and users in favor of diesel engine be-cause it has many advantages such as engine used long life, low maintenance cost, good fuel economy, low greenhouse gas and hydrocarbon emissions, however PM and NOx are its main pollutants. Through research and comparison the two measures:engine interior and exterior pu-rification. We know diesel exhaust reforming to produce hydrogen gas to improve the efficiency of diesel engine, reducing NOx and smoke emission, improve the post-processing SCR catalyst activity and DPF regeneration system is very important.This paper introduces the domestic and foreign research content about diesel exhaust reform-ing. Mainly in two aspects of reforming hydrogen production experiment and chemical kinetics study. In terms of simulation establish two models:Pipe flow model and honeycomb ceramic model, simulate the reforming situation without catalyst and have a catalyst in the model. And respectively introduce the basis of chemical dynamics theory of the two kinds of models.Because of the complexity of the composition of diesel fuel, in domestic and foreign study generally use agent component to simulate diesel composition. This paper first introduces the commonly used agent composition mechanisms and their application in the simulation. Ex-pounds the principle of selection of the mechanisms, finally identified the two kinds of agent diesel kinetics of gas phase mechanism in this paper, establish the CHEMKIN models.There are many factors which can influence the process of reforming, this article mainly from the model space velocity, inlet temperature, oxygen/carbon ratio and water/carbon ratio in four aspects study the influence of the restructuring process. Through the comparison of two kinds of model, result a series of most appropriate reforming conditions. After the simulation, make the sensitivity analysis and ROP analysis of reactants and products and find out the primitive reac-tions in the mechanism file and the consumption of reactants/products/paths.After reforming simulation is completed, consult the overseas reforming experimental data validated the result of the simulation. Comparison results show that the models have good relia-bility and accuracy. It has certain guiding significance and reference value for future experi-mental research, but it has optimization space in choosing mechanism.
