The hollow reinforced concrete column confined by GFRP tube is a new type of member which is made up with outer GFRP tube, inner PVC tube and reinforced concrete between them. GFRP tube can effectively improve Mechanical performance, bring up bearing capacity, enhance the seismic ductility, and resist acid and alkali erosion by restraining concrete. At present, scholars often focus on the solid concrete column confined by GFRP and the combined member with FRP concrete and steel tube, the research about this kind of member is rare.This article will establish the numerical simulation model of hollow medium-long reinforced concrete column confined by GFRP tube. AS a kind of component with the section form of sandwich concrete, studying the effect between outside tube and core concrete is needed, especially the performance of confined core concrete. There is no existed research on hollow medium-long reinforced concrete column confined by GFRP tube, so this paper will mainly focus on the basic mechanical behaviors of this kind of component..Main work includes:1. Design the section form of hollow medium-long reinforced concrete column confined by GFRP tube.2. Build up the finite element model by ANSYS and carry on the numerical simulation of this component under axial compression.3. Study the effects of relevant parameters. Obtain the bearing capacity of hollow medium-long reinforced concrete column confined by GFRP tube by controlling slenderness ratio, concrete strength, hollow ratio, and thickness of FRP tube.4. Basing on the results of finite element, analyze the effect law of slenderness ratio, concrete strength, hollow ratio, and thickness of GFRP tube.5. Determine the reasonable slenderness ratio, concrete strength, hollow ratio, and thickness of GFRP tube. Put forward the Engineering design Suggestions.
