Compared with the traditional vehicle, Four-Wheel-Independent-Drive intelligent vehicle is a new electric vehicle form, it has more controllable degrees of freedom, so you can achieve completed in situ steering, oblique and lateral movement, and other special features conventional vehicles can not be, greatly improve the vehicle dynamic performance.4WID intelligent vehicle represents the future development direction of the vehicle, is one of the hotspots in the field of vehicle.This paper is developed a prototype car of Four-Wheel-Independent-Drive intelligent vehicle, the each wheel of prototype are equipped with a hub motor, vehicle including driving system, steering system, braking system and suspension system and so on except for dynamical systems. Analysis and research on the in-wheel motor drive electric vehicle launched in the field of EV in this paper. Research and exploration the overall structure design and scheme of wheel motor drive electric vehicle.Selected chassis structure types of Four-Wheel-Independent-Drive intelligent vehicle according to requirements of the vehicle arrangement and design. And then the design of the driving system, driving system, steering system, braking system and suspension system structure, and the size and performance parameters of the main structure of the system is calculated. According to the design parameters, the geometric model of the vehicle has been established by using the CATIA software. Using the ANSYS software to establish the finite element model of the frame, through the finite element model of the static analysis of the frame, study the static characteristics of frame structure, from deformation and stress distribution, to determine whether to meet the requirements of the structure and performance of the car. Through the modal analysis of the frame finite element model, the natural vibration characteristics of the frame, check whether the natural frequency caused by vehicle resonance. To meet the conditions of the strength and stiffness of the frame structure is improved, the processing frame and complete vehicle assembly, verify the structure design of 4WID intelligent vehicle independent of rationality.
