With traditional energy resources being consumed to be exhausted, new energy development has become a hot issue in the energy field in recent years. Solar photovoltaic power generation has many advantages, such as environmental protection, inexhaustible, and easy exploitation, and solar energy has an important role in the development of new energies. PV concentrator systems in order to solve the problem of low fluency. However, PV concentrator design is usually based on vertical incident light, caused that the installation of the condensing system must be matched with high precision tracking system currently solar concentrator, leading to the installation and maintenance difficulties. Meanwhile because the installation error, incident condenser system offset, resulting in reduced power generation efficiency of solar cells or damage and other problems.To solve the above problems, this paper designs a free tracking photovoltaic concentrators, the system up to 4 condenser within the acceptance angle of 17°. Analyze the influence of incident irradiance and spot uniformity with the incident angle shift. Using the concentration ratio and the principle of the marginal ray, get the initial structure of the second parabolic concentrator, and optimizing by Tracepro, finally, analysis the system. The design is suitable to crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic cells in low magnification for free tracking photovoltaic concentrator system. System is based on refraction reflection principle, the Fresnel lens as the primary condenser, and the parabolic reflector as the secondary condenser. The system underside is 156mm 156mm, the surface 354mm 354mm, the length 260mm, the aspect ratio 0.73. The condense up to 4 when angle of incidence within 0°~17°, converging spot uniformity greater than 65%. The condense up to 3 when angle of incidence within 0°~12°, converging spot uniformity greater than 60%.The design of Fresnel lens is monospaced, Incident light is refracted by the Fresnel lens. Compare with normal incident, the spot in the secondary concentrator will more down. Design the paraboloid and combine them, so that acceptance angle is enlarged. Using Tracepro to verify the feasibility.
