Probe is one of the key components of precision measuring instrument, and its function is to provide information on the workpiece geometry, its performance will affect the measurement accuracy of precision measuring instrument. For high efficiency, high-precision detection probe, rapid and timely feedback probe performance, based on gear measuring center to carry out research on the calibration and performance analysis of three-dimensional scanning probe is of great significance.In this thesis studies the process of assessing the three-dimensional scanning probe linearity, detection error, and scanning probing error. And the measurement software of the three-dimensional scanning probe has developed based on the gear measuring center. For these three measurements in gear measurement center, the movement of the probe relative to the workpiece and acquisition scheme of data is planned. Human interface is designed, which includes the input interface of workpiece parameter and measurement control parameter adapte to actual engineering needs. Error curve plotted for each measurement items are designed and measurement results of the test report by printing and through software testing to verify its reliability. By measuring the experimental verification, the software can be designed for three-dimensional scanning probe calibration measurement, also analyzed the effects of different experimental conditions on the measurement results. Finally, given a set of data, the software has been tested to verify the correctness of the software.
