With the development of transport services and urban construction, powder material truck as a special-purpose vehicle, the demand was rising. At present, most manufacturers design based on experience, there were some irrational structure and overweight phenomenon of vehicle. Based on CAD / CAE technology for vehicle structural analysis and lightweight design, improved the technological content of products for the enterprise future production provides a theoretical basis.In this issue taking 42m~3 powder material truck as the analysis target, the establishment of a three-dimensional model of the vehicle in the Pro/ E, followed by importing finite element analysis software Hyper Mesh establishment finite element model, conducted the bending, torsional, emergency braking, turning, hill starting and full load discharging six kind of conditions of stiffness and strength analysis, obtained stress and deformation nephogram of the vehicle. Most can body and carriages have a greater safety margin, insufficient strength of partial structure.Powder material truck loading and playing pink were electrical measuring experiment in both cases, to validate the model and calculations were corrected.On the basis of finite element analysis put forward lightweight design. To achieve the goal of lightweight, this issue mainly on the basis of the original model, by changing the plate thickness and the shape of the structural parts. At the same time, re-established the finite element model, for the lightweight design vehicle model were strength analysis of the six conditions, verify the feasibility of lightweight design. According to the static analysis results, tank and frame satisfied the requirements of strength. Eventually, the powder material truck reduced weight 236 kg.
