Due to the inherent fluctuation and uncontrollability of solar energy, the coordination among PV generation system, diesel generator sets and Energy Storage system become complex in the PV microgrid system. So, the accouplement between the generator power and the needed load is the primary condition for preserving stability of microgrid system. Currently, microgrid power device is expensive, especially the energy storage device, becoming the bottleneck of microgrid system to popularize. So, Configuration optimization of capacity for PV microgrid system and Energy Storage system is very important. Following are the research on capacity optimization model and method for PV microgrid system and Energy Storage system.The mathematical model of PV system, energy storage system and diesel generator are established. The physical model and mathematical model of the photovoltaic cell are analyzed and established. According to the constraint condition and function of energy storage system, the model of electrochemical energy storage battery is established. From the minimum invest of user view, through the analysis of the annual comprehensive cost, the mathematical model with the lowest annual cost targets is established.For different operating conditions, the energy management strategy with microgrid power coordination is proposed. The particle swarm optimization algorithm is improved to solve the problem that the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm is weak in the later stage. With annual historical load data, light intensity, temperature as input data, and the loss of load probability(LOLP), the energy excess percentage(EXC) as the indicators, following the proposed energy management strategy, utilize the improved PSO to obtain the configuration optimization of capacity of microgrid power, the results show that the improved PSO has strong global optimization features.An operation model based on storage battery is established for describing the peak load shifting duty of BESS. An optimal BESS configuration problem is discussed. The effect of peak load shifting can be measured by loss of load probability index. In the end, a real-time and dynamic control strategy of energy storage system for peak load shifting is put forward in the paper. The analysis on actual example testifies the reasonability of proposed strategy.
