| The normal operation of electric power system is closely related to social production and people’s life. But severe snow-ice disaster always threatens the operation safety of power system. And the rapid deicing is an important measure to deal with the disaster of ice and snow. Due to the special nature of the ground wire,the insulation should be processed before melting. If the overhead ground wire and earth insulation is not complete, the fault occurs. The snow and ice on the overhead ground wire can’t be melted quickly. Therefore, it is becoming more and more important to make a fast and accurate location of the ground fault in the DC melting ice.Aiming at the DC ice melting overhead ground fault location problem, theory,methodology, key technology and modeling and simulation are studied in this paper. The main work is as follows:(1)The characteristics and insulation approach of overhead ground wire are analyzed from theory in this paper. The DC ice melting device principle, melting ice wiring, the faults that may occur and the characteristics of the fault and the propagation characteristics of traveling wave are researched. While the key technology of DC ice melting overhead ground wire traveling wave fault location is analyzed(2) The fault location methods in overhead ground wire of melting ice is studied. Through the study of the overhead ground fault and advantages and disadvantages of a variety of methods ranging, applying A single-ended fault location method, C-type pulse injection method, and a combination of both methods of fault location for overhead ground wire are proposed. The C pulse injection method is used to determine the fault section, and A type traveling wave fault location method is used to the fault location. On this basis, DC ice melting overhead ground fault detection overall program and major hardware solutions are designed. While the key technology of traveling wave fault location in overhead ground wire DC ice melting is analyzed. The technical difficulties of traveling wave signal acquisition and wave head polarity judgment are analyzed.(3)In order to verify the feasibility of the three methods which are applied in this paper. The methods are applied to the fault location of melting ice wire whichhas different connection method, and are built simulation models by PSCAD for simulation analysis. The simulation result processing using MATLAB software shows the feasibility of the program.In this paper, the single ended fault location method single is applied in the fault finding of the DC melting ice overhead ground wire, and can quickly locate the overhead ground wire fault position of DC ice melting process, ensures the deicing work carried out smoothly, and removes the ice and snow crisis from the power system. |
