Power transformer is an important equipment working for redistribution and conversion of electric energy, thus its operating quality has a direct impact on the stability of power supply system and the people’s life and property security. After the development of last several decades, transformer substation has the basic functions of operation monitoring and controlling, measurement and fault protection but lack of the functions of condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, fault alarm and sound management so that it is still unable to evaluate and judge the security status of power equipment. In order to improve its security and reliability, the maintenance mode is often preventive test of equipment and scheduled major overhaul, and sometimes there is a situation of inadequate or excessive repair for equipment, this often causes the problem of excessive treatment for the equipment which does not need to be repaired. For this reason, it is of important and strategic significance to develop the research on fault early warning mechanism and preventive maintenance for power transformers, to realize the real time state monitoring function of power transformer and optimize maintenance and repairs, to make sure of a reasonable arrangement for repair cycle and prolong its service life by fully exploit the potentialities of equipment whenever possible, to improve the security and reliability of transformer and cut down the cost over its whole life cycle and to set up a scientific and reasonable standard and method system for sound management.Based on the actual running conditions of luozhuang 110kv Power transformer equipment and the theory of reliability analysis and fault diagnosis, a set of transformer fault early warning and sound management system is developed in this paper, and the main content of work is listed as blow.Determine the analysis process of reliability maintenance for transformer equipment, coding rule of three-ratio method for fault diagnosis and the judging method for fault type by means of field research as well as an analytical investigation on the relevant literature.Research and develop iron core intelligent cell, capacity intelligent cell, arrester intelligent cell and transformer substation environmental unit. Develop a luozhuang Power transformer fault early warning and sound management system with Java language as the tool for development and MS SQL Server 2000 as backend database. Confirm the applying technology of transformer fault early warning and sound management system based on the actual situation of Luozhuang Transformer Substation of Luanchuan Electric Power Bureau, the system goes live and runs smoothly, the reliability, feasibility, practicability and advancement of system is tested and meet the demand of the whole process management of fault early warning and sound management for Luozhuang 1# transformer substation.The research findings mentioned above come up with a new idea and method for the intelligentizing transformation of existing transformer substation, which is of great guiding significance for smart electric network transformation of county electric power bureau with limited capital.
