China has been in a new stage with the economic development in a high speed in the 21th century, but the energy consumption is also increasing a lot. The energy supply has become a completed system consist of energy resources such as coal, electric power, oil, nature gas, renewable energy, etc. In these resources, coal has been the main energy consumption due to the resource constriction of our country. In recent years, clean and renewable energy developed a lot as our country advocates to use nature gas and renewable energy. The proportion of coal and oil will decrease and the wind and solar power capacity will be in an increasing trend.The power grid scale and the power demand are enlarging with our country’s economic development. But in China the generation mainly come from thermal generation, and the coal resource cannot meet the requirements of electric power capacity. Furthermore, environment requirements also challenge the traditional generation. Aiming at above problems, distributed energy resources (DER) are successful to deal with them. Distributed energy resources, which are the research point in the world, are supplement of the traditional energy and they are also friendly to environment because of full using the renewable energy resources such as wind and solar power. However, some impacts are taken into the power grid due to the connection of DER. The connection of large scale DER will influence the power flow and the power quality in grid because of the intermittent of wind and solar resource. So the optimization is an important process in the power grid with DER, which can reduce the network loss, improve the power quality and realize the peak load shedding. The optimization also increase the load capacity of the power line and the upgrade investment of delay line. This paper will research on the optimization of the utility power grid with DER connection, including the output model of distributed generation (wind generation and solar generation), the optimized operation mode of energy storage and the collaborative optimization model based on the multi-agent system (MAS) in distribution network with DER. The detailed research are as follows:1. Analysis the DER generation principles and features such as wind turbines and PV aiming at the distributed network stability with DER, then provide the optimized operation model of energy storage;2. According to the collaborative optimization theory, build the optimization model of distributed generation capacity considering the reconfiguration features, then build the collaborative state consistency constraints of the distributed network with DER;3. Build the collaborative solution algorithm based on MAS according to the machine learning;4. Provide the optimization model and algorithm suitable for the distributed network with DER connection, then simulate the IEEE 33 nodes system and realize the algorithm to prove the validity and applicability.
