With the development of society, electricity is becoming the main consumption form of energy. Along with a large amount of electricity consumption is a sharp increase in the use of electrical safety accidents, monitoring the status of transmission lines can prevent accidents from the starting point of the safe use of electricity. The application of the self powered system is highlighted. The research on the monitoring system of the self- power supply network is one of the directions of the transmission line monitoring technology.In this paper, a monitoring system for the power grid is designed for the transmission line monitoring, the system can be divided into four parts or three modules. Four parts are energy acquisition, information collection and information acquisition data convergence and long-distance transmission part and data receiving, storage, display, which energy acquisition and information acquisition module combined together as node module. Three modules respectively for node module, data relay module and server module, corresponding to the four parts of the energy acquisition and information gathering, information acquisition data convergence and long-distance transmission part and data receiving, storage, display.Firstly, the node module collects the power from the monitored transmission line through the energy acquisition module to be used as the power source of the whole node module, and the excess energy is stored. At the same time, the information acquisition module from the transmission wire and acquisition of data. The node module sends the collected information to the data relay module.Secondly, the data relay module collects the data collected by each node module, and then sends the data to the server module.Finally, the server receives the data and uses the database to manage the data, and the final data is displayed in the form of web pages.
