With the rapid development and construction of the urban rail transit, new urban rail transit lines are increasingly and constantly put into operation. The operation of new lines not only enhances the complexity of network topology and the network coverage, but also increases the passenger flow volume which may leads to some negative effects, such as excessive stations’boarding and alighting scale, overloaded interval. Due to the negative effects, it is difficult for the rail transit network to play a role effectively and take responsibility for urban public transport backbone. Therefore, it is of great significance for design and selection of new lines’design schemes, influence of passenger flow influence by opened new lines, passenger volume forecasting and optimization and adjustment the operating program to do research on passenger flow data of existing lines, passenger flow change, spatial and temporal distribution and the influence of existing lines’passenger flow with the opened new lines.Research aims to analyze the influence of existing lines’passenger flow with the opened new lines. First of all, in order to analyze the influence by opened new single line, recovery model of new lines is built with the adequate consideration of actual new line’s passenger flow sources and urban rail transit network feature. The model recovers passenger flow from the opened new lines period to the period without new lines by using the probability function based on spatial position and distance. Then it allocates recovered passenger flow to the network by using Trans CAD software and stochastic user equilibrium. Using the model, the passenger flow data before and after one line opened is gotten. Secondly, it analyses the passenger flow indexes at network, line, interval, station level according to all day and peak-hour time scale. It evaluates the influence of existing network station passenger flow and interval with different new line opened by clustering the passenger flow at the hierarchy of the station and interval level throughout all day time scale. After that, based on the results of analysis and the spatial information of new lines, it analyzes and summarizes the different types of the new line to existing station and interval influence. Last but not the least, due to existing conclusion is based on data with the new line opened and major transport policies adjustment situation, the result will inevitably be multifactorial cross-impact. Therefore, the model is applied to only the new line (Changping Line second phase and Line 14 middle phase) opening without other major transportation policy adjustment case studies, the result demonstrate the effectiveness and universality of the model. Characteristics and law of the impluence of passenger flow provide some reference for future planning and implementation of new lines. This article summarizes the problems and improvements and makes expectation of further research in the end.
