Frequent occurrences of earthquake disasters in recent years has caused heavy casualties and serious economic losses.Buckling restrained braces(BRB) can be used to effectively improve seismic performance of structures such as single-layer workshop, steel frame structure,concrete multi-story frame- BRB structure.But, as for moderate high-rise concrete buildings, whether it is not sufficient that the bending deformation of the high-level structure will make a difference in the energy consumption capacity of the BRB,whether the BRB braced frame structure is feasible, whether ordinary steel braced frame structure is also feasible, should remain to be investigated.Among frame shear wall structure, steel braced frame structure and BRB braced frame structure, which is better,the design ideas for the frame-BRB structure is that BRB don’t yield in frequent earthquake intensity and BRB begins to consume energy in fortification intensity,if BRB yields in frequent earthquake intensity to effectively reduce the structural internal force and deformation,whether the main structure can be optimized,whether BRB product can provide the deformation capacity can satisfy the limit of the BRB’s component deformation in rare earthquake intensity after BRB’s early yielding,whether the structural collapse resistance reserves adequacy in rare earthquake intensity or super rare earthquake intensity, is worth studying.Hospital buildings, as a kind of lifeline engineering, have been special status in seismic protection for lives and properties.It is studied that the seismic response of several structural schemes, seismic performance of the main structure and BRB, the emergence and distribution of plastic hinges, and the involved economical efficiency,through the designs and the modeling analysis of them in the paper.The results demonstrates,for the plane irregular small high-rise structure,steel braced frame scheme is difficult to achieve the expected target and design.BRB-frame(two) and mixed braced framework schemes can improve the seismic and economic behavior.BRB’s energy dissipation damping scheme in fortification intensity is feasible and there is possibility of further optimization and improve the economic efficiency.It provides a reference for engineers for solving the similar problems and designing the reinforced concrete structure from 12 to 16 layer(moderate high-rise).
