The failure mode and effect analysis of vehicle equipment and reliability evaluation method mainly refers to civil vehicle standards when carrying out the military design approvaling test. Now existing method of analysis and evaluation is not suitable for the argumentation, development and testing work of the third generation tactical vehicles. Therefore now urgent affairs is carrying out the research of military vehicle equipment’s failure mode, effects, hazards and reliability test.This subject adopted the failure mode, effect and criticality analysis to study military vehicle equipments in the reliability test.Based on the theory of FMECA, FMECA of military vehicle equipments in the reliability test is developed. It includs three parts of the failure mode and effects analysis, criticality analysis,and developed FMECA report. Failure classification principles and modes of military vehicle equipments were also proposed.By studying the reliability test of military vehicle equipments of one light military off-road vehicle, evaluation methods of reliability test was proposed. And the test statistic databases was builted.It includs the road mileage distribution table, test range table, average speed and fuel consumption statistic stable, failure statistics table, failure statistics table of reliability test.Based on FMECA of military vehicle equipments in the reliability test and evaluation methods, the software of failure analysis for military vehicle equipments and evaluation for the reliability test is developed. The software is based on Microsoft NET Framework platform, combined with SQL Server 2008 database and edited by C/S architecture. Vehicle equipment failures in the reliability test can be analysed intelligently by the software.
