Cracking and leakage of middle-wall is the most common defect of multi-arch tunnel, which threatens the safety of tunnel’ structure and operation seriously. Tunnel Water Leakage disease investigation, analysis and Control Scheme are based on the Zhushan tunnel at a expressway.Firstly, Multi-arch tunnel defect were detected survey and classification by the use of radar scanning methods, with combining the surveillance and detection results of construction process, which were analyzed by experience for the cause of the tunnel defect, revealing four reasons that the waterproofing and drainage scheme is unreasonable, and step conversion control improper protection, with sparsely about the backfill to top middle-wall, as to poorly controlling in construction details.Secondly, the numerical simulation method is adopted to analyze the stress state and deformation characteristic of multi-arch tunnel middle-wall during the construction process, which revealing and validating the causes for multi-arch tunnel middle-wall prone to crack. This is the causes for the failure of multi-arch tunnel waterproofing and drainage system.Thirdly, Combining with the tunnel defect common methods and engineering experience by type to water leakage of Zhushan tunnel.Then the designs for tunnel reinforcement and treatment for leakage are proposed, which contains some main engineering measures such as draining through deep hole from arch and wall, draining through excavated hole at construction joint and cracks, shutoff water through grouting the hole and crack. The top and base of the middle-wall and the main tunnel backing were grouting reinforced, and the middle-wall were posted outside plate and high-strength screw for the reinforcement in pull.
