Study On The Laryngeal Cancer CT-MRI Image Fusion By Using Homemade Positioning Device

This study is intended to approach better way for the precise positioning of laryngeal tumor radiotherapy of target and normal tissues. Providing comprehensive diagnostic information by CT and MRI image fusion, to Improve the doctor sketch tumor target of accuracy.There is a large number of research on the head, chest and abdomen for application of CT and MRI image fusion technique which is used to improve the accuracy of target delineation. The relevant aspects of less reports about the neck tumor article, because CT and MRI scan position repeatability are harder to control.In this study, in order to improve CT and MRI scanning position consistency by using the homemade positioning device fixed position of patient, then improve the accuracy of laryngeal tumor target sketch.This study reviews the principles of image registration, introduces the different classification for image fusion, and shows the main steps of image registration and fusion display, and medical image registration using the methods in the present stage.This study selected 10 cases of laryngeal cancer patients using self-made positioning device fixed position. By using the method of laser positioning device with red line of markers in the frame and patients with body surface, body membrane marked outside fits to ensure that patients under CT and MRI scanning position repeatability precision. To ensure that the marked points under two kinds of scanning way replace precision. Then get CT and MRI image, and through the DICOM format import Varian planning system. By using planning system function of image fusion for integration of CT and MRI image of the patient. Planning system using mutual information method and rigid registration for image fusion. Adjusting the image through manual horizontal displacement and rotation. Then Providing the error analysis for image fusion.Combining the advantages of CT and MRI images, make doctors fully understand the the nature of the lesion and its relationship with surrounding anatomical structures, Sketching target more accurately.Comparison on the basis of the target volume sketch by CT and MRI, an analysis on the laryngeal tumor target volume definition is that considering comprehensive volume of the CT and MRI image information is more reasonable.Homemade positioning device is suitable for the CT and MRI scans. Fixed Angle of CT and MRI scan in patients with neck can make the scanning plane nearly the same, and improve the positioning repeatability. There is a greater help for CT and MRI image fusion accuracy, and also have important significance for precisely defined target area.
