With the development of defense science and technology, it is obvious that weapons and equipments increasingly become more and more integrated and intelligent. A country’s technological level of weapons and equipment is an important manifestation of its military power. And the certain type of armored vehicle is an important part of the Army ground equipment, which carrys out the important task of dash, Fire fighting and so on. Integrated transmission is responsible for power transmission of the vehicle,just like a heart. Meanwhile, The transmission control device unit(TCDU) is the brain of the actuator, controlling the operation of transmission. Nowadays, machine’s operations trend to be more intelligent. That is to say if the TCDU breaks down, the integrated transmission will not oprerate normally, causing failue of the military vehicle, furthure more, causing serious injury even death of persons. Thus, It puts forword a higher requirement of reliability level of the TCDU. In this paper, some reliability design methods used in the TCDU are described in details. Reliability prediction method is used to reliability rediction of existing design scheme, which provides a basis for the final styling.The TCDU is used to control the integrated transmission, to achieve turning, shifting, lock-unlock and other behaviors,including fault informations collection,diagnosis,alarms and vehicle information storage. It consists of control and drive module,acquisition and fault diagnosis module, CAN bus and its DC-DC power transform module. Firstly, this paper gives an example to show that GO methodology is suitable for electronic equipment reliability analysis, and a GO program is developed for GO calculation. Secondly, this paper dedcribes the structure and function of the TCDU, and then, introduces the reliability design measures employed during the TCDU design process. Finally, with the methods provided by GJB/Z 299C-2006, the failure rate of each component is gotten. The GO figure of each unit is established by its circuit diagram. Then, according to the electrical connections and logical relationships between the units, all modules’ reliability models and GO figure are established. Last, using the connections and logics among modules, TCDU’s reliability model and GO figure is established. Based on the GO figure, the TCDU’s reliability prediction value is obtained. The result shows that the design meets the system’s requirement.
