Automobile exhaust gas is one of the main pollution sources in the air environment, of which the nitrogen oxide(NOx) is the most harmful and is the most difficult to deal. With the increase of the quantity of the car, the NOx has become a very obvious social problem while improving the quality of life. Many experts and scholars have made a new approach to the treat NOx by combining nanometer TiO2 photocatalytic materials and plasma. And thy carried out many kinds of research. Thus, this article has systematically analyzed the possibility of purifying nitrogen oxide(NO) with plasma and photocatalysis materials(TiO2) according to the mechanisms of the purification of nitrogen oxide by plasma and photocatalysis materials(TiO2). Based on this we designed the vehicle purification reactor of nanometer TiO2 photocatalytic materials combined the plasma phase. The results are as followings:1. According to the characteristics of the purification of nitrogen oxide by plasma and photocatalysis materials, this article has respectively analyzed the mechanisms of the purification of nitrogen oxide by plasma and photocatalysis materials and further explained the mechanism of the coupling of plasma technology and light catalyst technology2. Based on the mechanism of the coupling of plasma technology and light catalyst technology, we designed the physical purification test bench, utilized the FLUENT fluid simulation software to simulate the mechanism and the internal fluid of the experimental platform and we optimized the internal structure of the experimental bench and the coupling method of the plasma technology and optical catalyst technology in the light of the simulated results.3. We designed the cared pulse corona discharge type purifying reactor by using the principle of splitting design and coupling of plasma and photocatalysis. The electrode structure of the needle plate plasma generator is used in the reactor, and the reactor can make effective use of ultraviolet light induced by plasma to stimulate nanometer photocatalysis materials, thus reaching the purpose of effectively purifying motor vehicle emission pollutants. Under various experimental conditions(voltage, humidity, temperature), the test results showed that: With the increase of the voltage, the purification efficiency will be increased with the use of the plasma purification and the synergistic action of the light catalytic materials(TiO2); At the same time, the higher humidity can reduce the efficiency of plasma and photocatalysis material(TiO2) on the co-purification of nitrogen oxides. The main reason is that the adsorption of higher water molecules leads to a decrease in the electron hole pairs that can be utilized by the photocatalytic material(TiO2). And in the whole process of purification, electron bombardment and electron attachment were not affected by temperature, while the chemical adsorption ability of TiO2 catalyst was strongly depended on temperature.
