Most of ferroalloy products using electric production, which consumes more energy and high material consumptions,so it is the key energy saving industry of the State Planning Thirteen Five.In recent years, with the growing of ferroalloy products 、energy crisis and materials prices, enabled the submerged arc furnace energy saving becoming increasingly prominent. The utilization and analysis of its energy saving potential has impressed theoretical significance and bright future.In this paper, we measure three 3MW Si-Ca submerged arc furnace flue gas temperature, flow rate and composition,for submerged arc furnace flue and flow testing,the process of producing a greater impace on operating temperature and flow rate.The first and second laws of thermodynamices, enthalpy and exergy analysis value analysis of the quantity and quality of flue gas waste heat analysis and research; through the flue gas waste heat "Integrated Energy Systems" and "equilibrium level" analysis proposed use level coefficients as indicators to assess the full use of waste heat resources and guide the selection of waste heat recovery scheme. The full text of the study the following conclusions:(1) obtained by testing the flue gas temperature and flow with the variation of the production process. When the calcium alloy, the temperature drop smoke sometimes as high as 150 ℃, and cyclical changes, so when heat recovery process, to consider changes in waste heat supply.(2) combining the first and second laws of thermodynamics, the use of enthalpy analysis, exergy value analysis method, waste heat quantity and quality analysis.Obtained by calculating the production process of submerged arc high temperature fluegas heat recoverable value 32378.23 MJ / h, recycled flue gas exergy value 20122.99MJ/ h, according to the energy balance analysis derived annual temperature flue gas heat away to 85.09 × 107 MJ expenditure accounted for 43.02% of all the energy, waste heat recovery potential.(3) based on the "Integrated Energy Systems" and "equilibrium level" concept of waste heat, the use of full-level factors to examine the quality of the waste heat utilization indicators, draw waste heat resources suitable for the production temperature of 320 ℃, pressure 1.27 MPa steam. However, Si-Ca submerged arc furnace in the production process is the main demand for electricity, so economical and rational manner using waste heat is used to generate electricity. In addition, a separate cogeneration and thermal energy utilization factor and energy cogeneration condition were compared and found cogeneration thermal efficiency increased by 20 percentage points, the annual savings of electricity increased by 1.42 × 107 KWh. It also discusses the main factors influencing the recovery and utilization of waste heat, to analyze the economy, energy conservation and cogeneration systems, obtained is a typical plan for comprehensive utilization of waste heat, and achieved good economic and social benefit.
