Torque reference standard machine attracted widespread attention in the international community for its excellent performance, such as high efficiency, easy maintenance and low initial cost, etc. However, there’re no uniform standards for loading control and data processing of torque reference standard machine. This paper did some research on modeling and control for torque loading system of the 5kN m horizontal reference torque standard machine, which made the machine reached the standard of deadweight torque standard machine in uncertainty indicators, by improving loading performance.Firstly, this paper analyzed working principle of the control system of reference torque standard machine, put forward the mechanism models for PMSM vector control unit, mechanical transmission unit and torque sensor unit.Secondly, aimed at the features of control system’s mechanism model, this paper analyzed common advanced control strategies, proposed a control scheme based on fuzzy PID optimization control, and then elaborated the controller design process. System simulation was carried out according to the actual operating condition of the machine, and the results indicated that optimization control scheme based on fuzzy PID control can achieve good control performance.Thirdly, based on PXI hardware platform and Lab View software platform, this paper achieved the proposed control method, the control scheme based on fuzzy PID optimization control was applied in 5kN m horizontal reference standard machine, and then the system alignment was completed..Finally, this paper carried out uncertainty assessment for the standard machine by sensor performance test(deadweight torque standard machine) and torque stepper loading tests(5kN m reference torque standard machine), and verified the feasibility of the optimization control scheme.
