| This paper carry out a lot of work in the adaptability and applicability of basalt fiber in the asphalt mixture. First, the mechanism of basalt fiber reinforcing asphalt mixture was studied; and then by means of laboratory tests with the material of SMA-13 asphalt mixture mixed with basalt fibers, mix design and road performance were focused on. By the finite element software, response of basalt fiber asphalt pavement under load viscoelastic was analyzed. Finally, by the specific implementation of a project, it put forward the design principles and construction methods. This study has important and far-reaching social and economic significance to improve the service level of asphalt pavement, to extend the life of asphalt pavement and to realize the sustainable development of highway construction.The main research contents including:(1)Obtaining physical interactions between Basalt fiber and asphalt in the mixture by studying the characteristic, viscosity increasing theory, stop cracks theory and intensity formation mechanism of Basalt fiber.(2)The changes of Marshall test indexs with different contents of the fiber were studied through Laboratory tests, thus the optimum asphalt content was got. Moreover, the optimum fiber content and the optimum fiber length was determined based on the high-temperature index of fiber asphalt mixture.(3)The road performance of basalt fiber was studied, comparing with the Lignin fiber stone mastic asphalt mixture.(4)The force act of the basalt fiber asphalt surface layer was simulated through nonlinear FEM software.(5)With researching construction technology and economy of basalt fiber,the promising market future of basalt fiber was convinced. |
