With the extensive application of diaphragm wall in the deep excavation engineering and underground engineering, the ground movement pattern and influence on environment caused by diaphragm wall trench construction were increasingly seen as important. The ground movement pattern and deformation control measures of diaphragm wall trench construction are essential to analyze. This dissertation carried out researches on deformation feature and control measures of diaphragm wall in the process of construction. The main work and conclusions are as follows:1 The slurry trenching was dynamically simulated by the established numerical model, and horizontal stress distribution, lateral deflection of slurry wall and ground settlement were investigated to analyze the deformation feature of diaphragm wall in the process of construction. The comparative study of the relationship between groove size and soil deformation was done. The numerical simulation results indicate that soil arching effect exist in the process of construction, and the soil deformation mainly presented as ground settlement in the upper groove section and lateral deflection in the lower groove section. The ground settlement, lateral deflection of slurry wall and range of ground settlement caused by slurry trenching were directly related to slot length and slot width, and these could be used to estimate ground settlement and lateral deflection of slurry wall.2 The slurry trenching was simulated by the established numerical model with adjacent buildings. The ground settlement, lateral deflection of slurry wall and lateral deflection of the soil under the foundation were investigated to analyze the impact on the surrounding environment. The numerical simulation results indicate that lateral deflection in the upper groove section and ground settlement increase significantly because of the adjacent buildings. These deformations will lead to uneven settlement of adjacent buildings. The lateral deflections of the soil under the foundation also increase significantly.3 Some factors influencing diaphragm wall trench construction deformation have been analyzed. These factors include mud severe, soil parameters, construction loads, groove wall reinforcement, guide walls and concrete floor. The numerical simulation results indicate that the ground settlement and lateral deformation linearly decrease with the mud severe and soil cohesion, but were in inverse proportion to the soil compressive modulus; ground overload has some effect on the shallow lateral deformation of the groove wall; the groove wall reinforcement could significantly limit the deformation of the soil reinforcement area, and it was better to control deformation by increasing reinforcement depth than reinforcement width.4 Control study of diaphragm wall in the process of construction have been studied from 3 aspects:deformation restriction, path isolation, and object protection. Based on the analysis of the influence factors and some practical engineering, the deformation control measures were presented. The overall results show that diaphragm wall construction would cause deformation of surrounding soil and have a certain impact on the surrounding environment. In engineering construction, it was necessary to choose the appropriate control measures to limit the deformation and control the impact on the surrounding environment.
