Research On Concepts And Methodology Of Road Landscape Design

In road landscape construction, the various experts generally participate in the project independently, resulting in a lack of design integrity. Simultaneously, designers lack the considerations of users’ aesthetic and demand, and the creation of road landscape is only focus on the performance of nuture and decoration. There is a lack of design concepts and methods in cultural style and mood creation. In this paper, a comprehensive cross-interdisciplinary research was developed to explore the combining application of Chinese Traditional Aesthecics and Architecture methodology in road landscape design.In the first step, the research analyzed and generalized the theory of road landscape design to define the overall property of the research subject, and then refined and summarized the concepts and methods from Architecture and Chinese Traditional Aesthecics, which were suitable for the design of main parts of the road landscape.Then, a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western aesthetics was developed, the combining application of the two in road landscape design was proposed. After that, the general procedures and steps of road landscape design were summarized based on the integration of Landscape Architecture and Chinese Traditional Aesthetics, etc.Secondly, the thought of landscape design was considered in the preliminary planning and design of road, road route selection and road alignment design with landscape were separately studied. Referring to the law and design methods of Architectural Aesthetics, while combining with Chinese Traditional Aesthetics, the innovative concepts and methodology of road route selection and road alignment design were proposed.Then, the external road landscape was studied as the road landscape space form, and its composition was studied after dividing the landscape space elements into "form" and "color". Referring to the theory of Chinese Traditional Aesthetics and garden landscape, combining with the dynamic characteristics of road landscape space, the art of its space organization was analyzed, the concepts and methodology of the external road landscape design were proposed, as lifelike natural design, appropriate landscaping design, dynamic unreal and real design and unity contrast design.Finally, the development of bridge landscape design at home and abroad was analyzed, the general techniques and defects of bridge landscape design were summarized. Based on the general performance forms, the application of Architectural Design in bridge landscape design was proposed. There are three starting points in architectural design:architectural design concept, three-dimensional composition method and material and color collocation. Projects were used to analyze the three starting points.This paper proposed the combining application of Chinese Traditional Aesthetics, Architectural Aesthetics, Landscape Architecture and Architectural Design in road landscape design. On the basis, the design concepts and methods were proposed for the main parts of the road landscape, whitch enriching the theory and methodology of road landscape design and providing a reference for the practice of road landscape design.
