Since downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine has a merit of high performance per litre, lower fuel consumption and can improve emission performance, it has become the main way of passenger vehicle to achieve lightweight design, energy saving and emissions reduction. However, the electronic control technology of downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine is the imperative key issue to be resolved. In this paper, downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine by the 0.6L naturally aspirated launch matched turbocharger restructuring, its control parameters have changed, the original naturally aspirated engine electronic control unit can not meet its requirements.In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we used a restructuringdownsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine as research object. Through matching its turbocharger, simulating and optimizating turbocharger system, we developed a electronic control unit of downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine.Through a series of experimental data, we found that using the AVL BOOST software to establish downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine simulation model is correct. The simulation of base pulse wide of MAP is correct and effective. In addition, the designed electronic control unit to control the steady-state operating conditions of the engine is also ideal and effect. This paper preliminaryly completed the electronic control unit developed design of downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine.In this paper, the AVL BOOST software is used to establish the downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine simulation model. A bench test data is used to validate the simulation model and based on the simulation model, the base pulse wide of MAP is obtained. Based on the control requirement of the electronic control unit, we determined the sensors and actuators, selected the microcontroller of electronic control unit, designed the crankshaft position signal, the camshaft phase signal, supercharging pressure signal, input signal processing hardware circuit, IGBT ignition, injectors and fuel pump actuator drive circuit hardware circuit. In software part, we used the classic front and back structure and used the Code Warrior software to design the main program of the control unit, input signal processing program, condition judgment program, the control of fuel injection program, the ontrol of ignition advance angle program program and other programs. Taking the advantage of the operating characteristics of the turbocharged engine, an open loop control strategy of fuel injection and Ignition advance angle are determined. A downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine test platform is set up and the ignition advance angle is calibrated by self-developed PC software. Finally, the controller and the control effect is evaluated.Experimental data showed that in this paper, the use of AVL BOOST software to establish downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine simulation model is correct.The simulation of base pulse wide of MAP is effective.It is ideal effect that the designed electronic control unit to control the steady-state operating conditions of the engine.This paper preliminaryly completed the electronic control unit developed design of downsizing engine turbocharged gasoline engine.
