Research and application of on-line monitoring technology of transmission equipment can achieve reliable and effective equipment running status monitoring target, and ensure the safe operation of equipment, and lay a solid foundation for the intelligent power grid equipment condition based maintenance. The emphasis of this paper is based on the current situation of on-line monitoring techniques for the main transmission equipment, of power transmission and transformation equipment on-line monitoring technology characteristics, structural system application. The main work of this paper is as follows:Transmission equipment online monitoring technology was expounded the research background, basic concept and technical characteristics, studies the transmission equipment on-line monitoring device application situation at home and abroad. From pollution flashover mechanism, this paper analyses the leakage current online monitoring, the equivalent salt density measurement method.Insulator pollution flashover. Through analysis principle and mathematical statistics, the data and conclusions, points out that the insulator pollution resistance and negatively correlated with air and dust particle concentration, for the study of the insulator pollution resistance provides a rich data and theoretical support, under different environmental conditions for running the department take different anti-pollution measures to provide reference and help, for the electric power department to realize the automatic, continuous on-line monitoring, real-time control transmission equipment insulation level provide an effective technical means.
