Research On Overall Cityscape Planning Based On Case Of Anshan City

Since the reform and opening, the China’s economy has been booming, while the cities accelerating their constrction speed. Integration of economy gradually weakened the characteristics of convenntional cityscape, which caused the narrow-down of the diversity of cityscape. Meanwhile, former cityscape was excerbated by rapid and disorder construction. Good and special cityscape not only confers comfortable living environment, but also contributes to attract investment and human resource, enhances the competivity of city as the city’s most impressing business card. With the rising of many cities’ development, they conducted overall cityscape planning. However, as it is a newly coming type of urban planning, the divisified of planning regulation in overall cityscape planning made it hard to implement.Comparing with other cities, Anshan has more severe problems as a typical mining city. In such background, to have a detailed reseearch into overall cityscape is essential to formulate the Anshan’s planning structure.This research began with the related concept of cityscape, then summarise the related concept and practice in overall cityscape planning abroad and in China, which in order to recognize the experience of overall cityscape planning.Second, it analyzed the contidion of Anshan’s cityscpae, which leaded to further summarization of natural, artificial, and social characteristics and problems. Third, it summarized the technics of overall cityscape planning and selected four smaples to discuss the controlling and guiding method of cityscape. On the foundation of the works have completed, this research conducted empirical research into Anshan, proposed overall aim and strategy for cityscape planning, controlling and guiding method of cityscape, sub-district controlling and guiding method for connection of sub-class planning. This research wanted to make Anshan a grenn city, centennial iron city and livable city through overall cityscape planning.This research could provide rational method for the overall cityscape planning of Anshan, which could also better support the Anshan’s comprehensive planning, while providing some thoughts for other similar cities to improve their cityscape.
