In recently years, the frequent occurrence of haze and other extreme weather in many big cities, have sparked people’s attention. Particulate emissions are particularly noteworthy, and the PM emissions of the diesel vehicle are more than 90% of the total emissions from the national vehicles. To effectively control these emissions form the diesel vehicle, this article will deeply research the retrofitting application of the in-use diesel vehicle and machinery.This study mainly based on the experience of the successful retrofitting of in-use diesel vehicle from other countries. Refer to foreign assessment methods of the DPF and then put forward the DPF application assessment methods which in line with the national conditions of our country. This study evaluate the performance of the vehicles on the road and non-road machinery after the installation of DPF by means of engine bench test, vehicle chassis dynamometer test, vehicle test and non-road machinery typical conditions test. The main research contents and results of this paper are as follows:Firstly, in the engine bench test that we can conclude: The DPF(no Catalyst Coating) and DOC+DPF can greatly reduce PM emissions, but the PM emissions are rising after use the CDPF; The filtration efficiency of the three kinds of DPF for PN is more than 87%; All the three kinds of DPF have no effect on the NOx emissions. The DPF(no Catalyst Coating) and DOC+DPF can greatly reduce NO2 emissions, but the NO2 emissions are rising after using the CDPF. The CO and HC emissions are rising after using the DPF(no Catalyst Coating), but others are reducing. The regeneration of the DPF(no Catalyst Coating) which only use the FBC will be triggered when the exhaust temperature is 374.4℃. Whereas the CDPF is 343℃ and the DOC+DPF is 297℃.Secondly, in the vehicle chassis dynamometer test and vehicle test that we can conclude: The filtration efficiency of the three kinds of DPF for PN is more than 90% in the chassis dynamometer test. And for the CO emissions, the DPF-1(FBC)has risen slightly. And the DPF-2(Fuel injection mixed with FBC) has risen for nine times. And the DPF-3(Fuel injection mixed with FBC in DOC+DPF) has reduced for a half. All the three kinds of DPF have no effect on the NOx emissions, but the NO2 emissions are reducing. The filtration efficiency of the three kinds of DPF for PN is more than 96% in the vehicle test. When the vehicles have run thirty thousand kilometers, the efficiency of almost the national Ⅱ diesel vehicle have reduced within 20%. And most of the national Ⅲ diesel vehicle have reduced within 10%.Finally, in the non-road machinery typical conditions test that we can conclude: The filtration efficiency of two kinds of DPF for PN is more than 96%. No matter work four months or eight months, the filtration efficiency of all the DPF is reducing not obviously. The CO emissions are rising but the NOx/NO/NO2 emissions are changing not obviously after use the DPF.
