Winglet is an advanced technology that can increase lift and reduce drag, it can effectively reduce the induced drag of the aircraft, and improve the lift-drag ratio,thereby reducing aircraft fuel consumption. For airliners, the installation of winglet can effectively reduce the airline operating costs and improve the economy. But the winglet is composed of 5 design parameters, each parameter has effect on lift-drag characteristics of aircraft, study on the influence of winglet parameters on the lift-drag characteristics, and it has an important scientific and and practical significance.The main research contents and results of this paper are as follows:1. With the fusion winglet as the research object, referred the wing of "longhorns" to build basic airplane wing, and with installation of fusion winglet on the basic wing.Respectively compared the lift-drag characteristics of wings which with or without the installation of winglet by numerical simulation method. The results show that winglet will increase friction drag, but because the winglet has the effect of the end plate that can barrier the flow around from the lower airfoil to the upper airfoil, in addition has the effect that can dissipate the strength of the wing-tip vortexes,therefore it reduces the induced drag of the wing, thereby reducing the total drag.Meanwhile, the winglet can produce lateral forces, and a part of the lateral force can increase the lift force of wing, thereby increasing the lift-drag ratio of the wing.2. To study the influence law of the change of each winglet parameter on the lift-drag characteristics of the wing. According the 5 basic parameters of winglet to construct a basic winglet configuration. Based on this basic winglet configuration,study the influence law of the change of each winglet parameter on the lift-drag ratio and friction drag of the wing. The results show that each winglet parameter could change the lift-drag characteristics of the wing, but the influence degree is different.3. To study the major-minor sequence according to the change of each winglet parameter impact on the lift-drag characteristics of wing. Established test models of fusion winglet by the use of orthogonal experiment method, to study the important order according to the change of each winglet parameter impact on the lift-drag ratio.The results show that the descending impact of parameters of fusion winglet onlift-drag ratio was: setting angle, camber angle, height, sweep angle, taper ratio.Among them, setting angle, camber angle, height are the most important three parameters, and the influencing effect is very close. Using the orthogonal experiment method, finally obtain the optimal parameter configuration. The results showed that the lift-drag ratio of the optimal parameter configuration increased by 2.66%compared with the basic winglet configuration.In summary, the study of winglet parameters was beneficial to construct a batter winglet configuration, thus effectively improving the lift-drag characteristics of wing.The results of this study provided theoretical basis for winglet design.
