As to acquire multi-dimension information of targets, multiple angle hyperspectral imaging system shows a huge advantage in the application of remote sensing on forestry. Conventional multiple angle hyperspectral imaging system uses several hyperspectral imager setups with different angles to achieve this purpose. This conventional design is complicated in structure, huge in size and costs expensive. The unchangeable detecting angle is its largest drawback. Utilizing variable angle detection is a possible and efficiency method to obtain multiple angle hyperspectral data. In order to get a high-quality multi-angle hyperspectral image, we studied on changing detecting angles of the system to acquire the multiple angle imaging data from the objectives. At first, we analyze the theory of the hyperspectral imaging system. Based on this, develop a prototype of hyperspectral imaging subsystem. High precision optical axis pointing is the foundation of changing detection angle, thinking about the characteristics of aerial remote sensing, we put forward a compound angle stability control technology scheme to achieve the function of variable angle. Then think about the design and implementation of the system. Discuss the hyperspectral imaging subsystem, the angle compound stability control subsystem and pos subsystem in detail. Finally, the functional verification and testing of the variable angle Hyperspectral Imaging System has been developed. To verify whether the system meets the design specifications, we measurement imaging system of the total field, IFOV, control error and the imaging quality in laboratory; Through the spectrum of a laboratory calibration and radiometric calibration to find out the relationship between their theoretical and practical to achieve quantitative analysis,; Through laboratory model to simulate the outfield experiment and actual aerial remote sensing experiment verify the instrument’s performance. Through these experiments to the power system can for testing and verification, to ensure that the system meets the design specifications.
