Inland Water Transportation is an indispensable part of water traffic at home and abroad. The degree of information technology directly affect the development level of the transportation industry. The efficiency of the Inland Water Transportation will be seriously reduced by taking lockage manual registration method, in addition, it may result in identity authentication problems such as miscarriage of justice and omission during artificial registration processes, thus seriously hindered the rapid development of Inland Water Transportation. How to improve the navigation efficiency and strengthen the security administration of ships arrive and depart in various regions of Inland Water Transportation have become a critical issues issue facing currently.Practical shipping safety and the Internet of Inland Ships Operation Safety started with intellectualized certificate and identity authentication are very important safety research tasks. In view of the Inland Water Transportation involves the wide range, the large transportation volume and number of cross-domain ships, the status and development needs of Inland Water Transportation identity authentication technology is analyzed and a cross-domain intelligent ship identity authentication system basing on Internet of inland ships is proposed by adopting digital certificate identity authentication technology in this thesis. Wherein, cross-domain identity authentication is used to solve the security problem in identification and information interaction. By designing and analyzing the composition, structure, working principle and workflow of the electronic authentication system of cross-domain vessels, RFID tag, RSA encryption algorithm and tree based trust model are proposed by combing with the development of the technology of identity authentication. It completed the design of cross-domain navigation identity authentication system, and achieved the cross-domain ship intelligent identity authentication process.Finally, the system is verified by the simulation experiment. The security and practicability of the system are also analyzed. Through the experiment results, the newly proposed authentication system can effectively identify the validity and accuracy of the cross-domain work ship’s identity, and promote the development of cross-domain ship intelligent identity authentication technology.
