With the urbanized advancement speeding up, our country has became the second largest energy consumption country. The building energy composes most of the society energy consumption, so taking emergency action to make the building be more energy saving is just around the corner. While the area of public building is only 5%-7% of the whole area in the town, but the energy consume of public building take much proportion for the total building, which is 20%-25%. That is far more than residential buildings, so we should put more attention on building energy saving. According the statistics, central air-conditioning system take almost 40%-60% of the building energy consume, so we analyses the public building air system operation energy efficiency ratio,that is very important for reducing building energy consumption and consuming energy more efficiency.VRV system has some valuable features, such as: easy to be installed, energy saving and so on. More and more buildings are using it. This article introduce some details of this system and make a comparison of VRV to condition air system, then introduce several simulation software. According to their application field and appropriate conditions, this paper choose e QUEST software to carry out our simulation on VRV system of one office building in Shanghai, which is described as follows.(1) Using e QUEST to established one model of this building and its air-conditioning system, we describe the performance parameters of the building envelop and the running conditions of this air-conditioning,then simulate the whole year load of the system and analyze its constitution of the whole energy consumption, according to the simulation, whole year energy consumption is 111.56kwh/m2 per area of the building, air-conditioning system take about 36.38% of the energy consumption.we also validate the accuracy of the model.(2)By analyzing the running conditions of the ERV from VRV,we establish a model which do not adopt ERV, then simulate it, compare to the original model, the energy consumption of the model without ERV is up by 9.19%,among it, energy consumption of refrigeration system is up by 22.46%, energy consumption of fan is up by 23.31%, energy consumption of heating system is 32.0%.(3)The fifth chapter discuss cold and heat source issues in air conditioning system design, choosing screw type air cooled heat pump in air-conditioning system design without changing any other parameters. By establishing a model compare to the original model, we found the building energy consumption is up by 22.03%, by finding the reason why VRV is more energy saving,we propose a plant in cold and heat source selection for the air-conditioning.
