Guide rail is the core component of electromagnetic launcher, and it has an important influence on the launch of the electromagnetic gun. It not only conveys current, but also guides movement of the armature. It is also affected by a variety of external force. So it must wear resistance, good electrical conductivity, ablation resistance. At the same time, it must also has a very good mechanical strength and stiffness. To ensure the launch life and launch accuracy.Steel material has good mechanical strength and stiffness, and copper material has a good conductivity, widely used in current transmission equipment. Steel- copper composite track can be combined with the characteristics of the above two kinds of material, application in electromagnetic railgun. Among them, the steel material and the armature contact, bearing the armature pressure to ensure the accuracy of the launch; made of copper materials is mainly used to transmit current, providing a more ideal electromagnetic environment. Two kinds of material can be maked full use of according to the actual demand. Therefore, composite type track caused widespread concern.Seen as the composite rail beam on Winkler elastic foundation in this paper. Firstly, we analyze the force characteristics of the composite track, and the composite rail equation of deflection is obtained; then we establish the mechanical model of the composite rail, and obtaine load resistance,also calculated the magnetic field around the composite rail. The interaction force between the tracks and the armature motion equation is obtained; finally by calculating the pressure on the rail,using two-dimensional Fourier integral transform, we get the general solution of dynamic deflection of composite guide rail under moving load. Basing on these, the dynamic stress distribution can be get.According to the results of theoretical analysis, through specific examples, using MATLAB programming numerical solutions are obtained. Finally, we discusse the effect of the voltage and material proportion of the composite track on the guide rail and armature dynamic response and composite rail bending normal stress distribution, and the difference between the composite track and the single material track is compared. Through a series of calculation and comparison, We can find reasonable optimization parameters by calculation, and the application of rail guns in various aspects especially in military application has important significance.
