Combining with the engineering application of eddy current testing, Under the background of the eddy current testing application research with all kinds of piping components with high pressure pipeline structure and pressure vessel.The paper deeply studied the regular and 3D array eddy current testing technology in the theory of finite element field-circuit coupling problem modeling analysis, combined with the engineering practice to complete the simulation design and application of the two new probes. That main research contents we present which are as follows:In this paper, on the basis of Maxwell’s electromagnetic theory, in view of the 3D eddy current field circuit coupling problem of boundary conditions for finite element simulation software design, Through ANSYS workbench, Maxwell, Origin and MATLAB software simulation design and analysis, to overcome the problem of traditional of numerical analysis method with big workload. It is proved really practical that by using the finite element simulation.Two new eddy current probes were designed by the finite element simulation in this paper. They are respective differential eddy current sensor and the array eddy current probe: It is well known that the effective information of defects reserved in differential eddy current coils mutual inductance. In order to extract the defective characteristics of crack from coils mutual inductance to proceed quantitative analysis and make coils mutual inductance transition from interference factors to useful information, the 3D eddy current field-circuit coupled finite element models that conform to the actual conditions are established by using ANSYS Workbench software based on coils mutual inductance. The voltage amplitude of detecting coils are extracted directly from external circuit resistance nodes step by step an. Through the software processing, draw the cloud image and curve distribution. The quantification of crack is studied on length and location. By simulating first combined with theoretical guidance, based on the finite element model design of the first new type differential eddy current probe, the sensor installed in the auxiliary device which can make it rotation and translation and achieve test automation. The innovation will be conducive to the new probe detection accuracy and consistency.In addition the author also designs the second kind of new 3D probe array type,through the theory combined with practicing, into account both the simulation calculation and engineering practical application of the weighing set simulation parameters.Through the circuit editor Maxwell circuit design, flexible eddy current sensor array structure is usually with a lot of small probe coil which are gathering on the basal material.It can add excitation coils in the periphery that uses the time-sharing switching and multiplexing technology in turn, getting complete array eddy current signal of each coil circuit testing, and through calculating imaging technology which can realize 3D visualization detection, the test results intuitive and clear.Research shows that the above method and the theory are reliable and effective. It has a guiding significance for the new eddy current probe design, the design method for improvement of the larger than ever before and the advantages are obvious.
