Compared with the traditional kinetic weapons, rail launch has the advantages of high initial velocity, ammunition safety and good controllability, which can be used in anti-tank embankment, shipboard weapons, space vehicles and other fields. With the problem of energy, material life and ammunition problem solved, because improving the accuracy of the rail launch speed can significantly improve the hit rate of the projectile, the speed control of rail launch is particularly important. According to the control requirements of armature muzzle velocity, the simulation model of closed loop control system is established, and the control system is compared with the actual measurement and control system. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, this paper expounds the significance of the research on the velocity control of rail launch, and introduces the general situation of the research at home and abroad. After that, which analysis of the current status of the research on the velocity control of the rail launch. The pulse forming network circuit was theoretically analyzed, and the main parameters of the rail launcher is determined.Secondly, through the control of the armature muzzle velocity, the physical phenomena such as electromagnetic force, friction, air resistance, armature ablation, and track are analyzed in depth, furthermore, the mathematical model is established, Through the model simulation, the relationship between discharge time and the muzzle speed is obtained, and the velocity control strategy is put forward based on this model.Thirdly, by means of the key parameters of the pulse power supply, such as the voltage of the capacitor, the pulse current, the relevant measurement scheme is designed. The design scheme of closed loop control for the velocity measurement and control of rail launch system is given. In other hand, through improving the structure of the B-dot, the discharge control network is built, and the topology of pulse power discharge control structure based on CAN bus is presented.Finally, the key parameters of the pulse power measurement system and the velocity control are debugged and tested. The collected data and simulation results are compared with the simulation results. It shows that the design of the rail launch closed loop control system, the simulation research model is reasonable, which has certain guiding significance to the actual launch test.
