Nowadays, rock bolting has been widely used in tunnel construction, mining roadway support, slope reinforcement and other construction projects. Therefore, the quality detection of bolt anchorage system has become a crucial problem. With the development of economy and technology, the traditional destructive testing method has been replaced by non-destructive testing method, and stress wave method is the most common used. At the same time, the nondestructive testing equipment emerges as the times require. With the rapid development of science and technology, the nondestructive test equipment develops towards portable structure and simple operation. Also, the development of computer and advent of WPF technology make it possible. The main contents and conclusion are as follows:(1) The stress wave reflection method is studied to detect the quality of bolt, which provides a theoretical basis for the design and development of nondestructive test instrument.(2) Hardware circuit of the portable bolt nondestructive testing system based on WPF is designed, including constant current source circuit, a booster circuit, a signal conditioning circuit, A/D converter circuit and a power supply auxiliary circuit. The A/D converter circuit is realized through the PC’s sound card.(3) Wavelet transform, harmonic wavelet analysis and data fusion are applied to the bolt nondestructive testing instrument. The harmonic wavelet analysis and wavelet analysis can effectively reduce the detection error and improve the detection accuracy. Data fusion algorithm can fuse the signal from different source, and the result derived is more accurate.(4) Under Windows operating system, the designs of data acquisition, data access, data analysis and parameter setting collection are completed based on integrated development environment for Visual Studio 2012, WPF technology and C# programming language. The system has the advantages of small volume, convenient carrying and simple operation. Finally, all the function can be realized through testing a free bolt of 5.5 m in the laboratory.
