With the high-speedy development of social economy, the area of the city is expanding, old cities are developing to underground space due to space limitations, so a great number of high-rise buildings and deep pits are arising. Some of the theories are not the answer to practical matters. So it is necessary to research the related theories of deep excavations.Taking the foundation pit engineering of new medical ward for Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University as the engineering background, the supporting scheme was analyzed by using FSPW7.0, simulated by finite element software and deformation observation was used in site. The design, deformation observation of the supporting system under complex filed conditions was discussed in depth, the design and construction method of the project offers beneficial references for similar project.Firstly, the design theory and method were introduced, the reasonable support parameters were confirmed by FSPW7.0. Secondly, construction procedure of the deep foundation pit was simulated by finite element software, simulation results show the stress and deformation of supporting system. At the last, practical testing data was analyzed, and comparative analysis with the result of mathematical mode was performed, these conclusions can provide references for design and construction of similar foundation pit engineering.
