Mining, civil engineering, transportation, military and other industries have to deal with hard rock breaking problem. Traditional gunpowder blasting rock method and mechanical breaking rock method have some disadvantages, such as large environment negative, poor controllability and low efficiency. Even the water jet method which has been widely used in industrial production has the characteristics of low crushing efficiency in hard rock. With the development of microwave technology and microwave technology widely used in our life, people developed a microwave assisted breaking rock method. Research shows that microwave assisted breaking rock method can greatly reduce the strength of the rock, greatly improve the efficiency of mechanical breaking rock.The microwave assisted breaking rock method has many advantages, such as high efficiency, the environmental protection and good controllability. So the study of microwave assisted method of breaking rock is very necessary, which can provide the basis for application of this method in practical engineering.This article will study of the basalt strength deterioration under the different microwave power, heating time.(1) Use the finite element software to simulate the single-mode cavity of microwave. Analyse the electromagnetic field, the magnetic field and the energy field distribution in the cavity, to find the best heating position in the microwave cavity.(2)Selection of basalt standard specimen(50mm×50mm) for different microwave power and different heating time, and then carries on the variable angle plate shear test. Research different microwave power and different heating time on the influence of shear strength weakening of basalt.(3) Using the finite element software to simulate temperature and thermal stress distribution inside the basalt which contain mineral and crack. Research the basalt internal temperature and thermal stress distribution. Simulation the heating temperature and thermal stress distribution of mudstone heated in the microwave cavity. Compared with basalt, find the change of temperature and thermal stress when different rock heated in the microwave cavity. Using software to simulate temperature and thermal stress distribution inside the basalt heated in the high power microwave cavity. Analysis of high power microwave heating effect on rock strength weakening.(4)Use the finite element software to simulate basalt in uniaxial compression test under normal temperature, high temperature conditions. Research the effect of high temperature on the properties of basalt uniaxial compressive.
