A wide range of competitive and cooperative relations exist in different systems and fields, which are commonly found in biological systems. In the public transport network, there is also a competition and cooperation relationship, which is a common phenomenon in the public transport network. But, there is a little research on competitive and cooperative relations in the public transport network, and the characteristics of the public transport network in the field of competition and cooperation are ignored. Therefore, in order to reveal the regularity and characteristics of the competition and cooperation network and fully understand the bus network, complex network theory, which is based on the research of competitive and cooperative relations, is applied to study the bus characteristic in competition and cooperation network.This paper analyzes the competition and cooperation between the bus lines, and gives the conditions of competition and cooperation between the bus lines. Based on the conditions of competition and cooperation between the bus lines, the relationship between lines is divided into different types. According to the number of superposition stations and the number of stations between the two bus lines, the definition and calculation formula of cooperation strength between the lines are given. Because the position of the two parties participating in the competition and cooperation is different, the paper puts forward the differences between two lines in the process of competition and cooperation. Then, the bus competition and cooperation network are established based on the complex network theory, and the characteristics of the public transit network are obtained by taking Harbin as an example.Appropriate competition between the lines can increase the choice of passenger travel, and thus improve the level of public transport services, but excessive competition is not conducive to the effective use of public transport resources and network functions. In the public transportation network, the cooperation between the lines is more emphasis on the cooperation, and the cooperation between the bus lines can maximize the use of Limited bus resources which can provide more travel path for passengers. In this paper, an evaluation index is presented to describe e importance of bus lines thinking of cooperation intensity between the lines, and box diagram is put forward to distinguish the critical lines in the Harbin bus network.Through the analysis of statistical features of bus network in Harbin, the public transport network evolution mechanism is got. An improved evolution model is put forward based on evolution model of line priority connection and site random walk. The rationality of the model is verified from several aspects considering the competitive and cooperative relationship in the network.This paper presents the competition/cooperation intensity definition and calcula-tion formula, which based on the research of competitive and cooperative relations in public transit network, understands the characteristics in competition and cooperation network, identifies the key line based on the strength of cooperation, and reproduces the main features of public transit network by the improved evolutionary model. According to some research conclusions, the bus line planning can be given a certain reference.
