MAVs have concealment and mobility characteristics, and therefore have a pretty high military value. MAVs with conventional aerodynamic layout can produce aerodynamic forces shortage and poor stability, while flying creatures of the same size don’t have these problems. Thus bionic MAVs become one of the scholarly research focuses in this field. Since biological flying has characteristics like low Reynolds number, complex flapping and deformable wing, etc., research on aerodynamics of flexible wing in low Reynolds number flow field holds a high value.Based on two-way fluid structure interaction iterative algorithm, using Mechanical and Fluent modules in ANSYS Workbench to build a two-way fluid structure interaction numerical simulation strategy. Fluid structure interaction numerical researches on aerodynamics of flexible wing in low Reynolds number flow field are performed using the strategy. The main contents and results of this dissertation are as follows:Fluid structure interaction numerical researches on flexible wings gliding are performed. The structural vibration displacement and aerodynamic coefficients concuss with time, in addition, amplitude-frequency analysis of these variables is performed. And influences of flexible wing stiffness and Reynolds number on structural vibration characteristics, aerodynamic characteristics and flow field characteristics are studied.Fluid structure interaction numerical researches on flexible wings flapping are performed. The fluctuations of aerodynamic coefficients of hovering and forward flying within a flapping cycle are obtained, meanwhile, the causes of peaks and concussions of aerodynamic coefficients are analyzed taking advantage of flow field analysis. In addition, influences of flexible wing stiffness and flapping frequency on aerodynamic characteristics and flow field characteristics of hovering are scrutinized.
