Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP bars) is composites composed of continuous glass fiber. The application of the traditional reinforced concrete structures are subjected to many restrictions due to corrosion of steel; and the use of GFRP bars with high strength, good corrosion resistance, alternatively become an effective means of preservation. However, due to low elastic modulus and linear elastic stress - strain relationships, as well as low transverse shear strength of the bond between the concrete properties with greater distinction, and other reasons, the calculation and design method of concrete can not be applicable ed to the GFRP reinforced concrete structures. The cracks and deformation of GFRP reinforced concrete components are studied through experiments and theoretical analysis at home and abroad.In this paper, based on laboratory tests of "GFRP bars in the Shield-Well envelope pile structure applied research", the cracks and deformation of GFRP reinforced concrete components are studied through experiments , theoretical analysis and finite element method.in the end, the results are verified by the tests and finte element method. The main contents and results are as follows:1. Through the reinforced concrete beams and GFRP bars pilot study, the width of crack and derformation are analysed and the destruction and deformation patterns of GFRP reinforced concrete crack are observed. The deflection and bearing capacity are also analysed.2. From the cracks problem of reinforced concrete beam, suitable calculation method of GFRP reinforced concrete beam crack width are put forward and the formula is derived with test results. The reasonable and effective method of crack width and the calculation formula are verified through test datas. 3. Through the deformation analysis of GFRP reinforced concrete beams, GFRP bars beam damage pattern are studied. From the derformation problem of reinforced concrete beam , the suitable calculation method of GFRP reinforced concrete beam crack width are put forward and the formula is derived with test results. The reasonable and effective method of crack width and the calculation formula are verified through test datas.4.By the Application of finite element software ADINA, the nonlinear finite element analysis of GFRP reinforced concrete beams is performed. the experimental results and theoretical calculation results are compared and verified.
