With the rapid development and progress of Modern Library Science in Ch ina, Library Science covers more and deeper aspects. It shows many new featur es in development. This thesis selects a great many forms of academic results i n a long period, and makes statistical analysis on the academic result of the res earch subjects, and explores its development trend. It is an important part of sci entific development history. This thesis selects lots of journal articles after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee in 1978 (with 9 core journals as samples), dissertation, all papers more than fifty thousand articles of National Social Science Fund Project as samples. It is based on the formulatio n of the subject category table for the subject distribution statistical analysis, co mbs and sums up the new features and developments tendency of Library Scien ce subject distribution in modern times, hoping to provide reference to the ratio nal development of disciplines, scholars’selection of research direction, authors contributing articles and application item of scientific research.
