Since50’s in20th century, A.V. Feigenbaum and Juran raise the concept of quality cost, quality cost management are developed very rapidly in many countries, especially in the Europe and the United States, and also be used in the enterprise. For example American Business Machines Corporation (IBM), General Electric (GE), the International Telegraph and telephone companies have established a quality cost management system. The quality cost management plays an important role for the development of enterprises and win the trust from customers. But with the globalization of the world economy, especially to broaden the quality competition globalization and quality concept, from the "applicability" to "the customer satisfaction of OPPM" quality concept, customer have more higher requirements for products quality. It is a huge challenge to the traditional theory of quality cost by the higher customer requirement and quality concept changing.In21st Century, OPPM was the quality target of many world-class enterprises. In order to achieve this goal, most international companies are spare no effort to promote6Sigma and lean production tools, makes the enterprise has made great improvements in quality and cost. But some enterprises ignore a hidden Mountain--the cost of poor quality. The main reason that the poor quality cost management which are base on OPPM have very high requirement on quality control system, enterprises quality concept, management level of enterprises, at the same time, the traditional quality cost theory which are based on the "applicability" quality concept cannot carry out effective scientific guidance for the cost of poor quality management which are based on OPPM. This paper summarizes the latest research results of traditional quality cost theory, comprehensive customer satisfaction, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), mass loss and the hidden quality cost and other factors, combining the actual situation of X company, and improved the cost of poor quality elements, carry out a thorough study on the formation of the cost of poor quality in X company, and put provide the corresponding improvement method.This paper first describes the research background, significance, contents, methods, technical route and possible innovative points, and introduces the latest research results of domestic and external for cost of poor quality and relevant theory. Make the improvement the classification of cost of poor quality and the elements in one company base on the implementation and present the use on the traditional quality cost theory in a company, including the cost of poor quality information collection, analysis and improvement, which also combined with customer satisfaction, failure mode and effect analysis, quality loss and the invisible quality cost and other factors. Aim at the OPPM quality target.Secondly, this paper carries on the analysis for the data of the cost of poor quality, play team wisdom to find the root cause of the cost of poor quality, and raise the corresponding improvement measures and methods base on the root cause. The improved method is mainly from the three aspects of process quality control, the quality of decision making and management method.In this paper, absorb and draw lessons from a large number of domestic and foreign advanced experience of quality management and quality control, the decision-making method, and combined with the latest research achievements of scholars at home and abroad, based on the traditional quality cost theory in X company and use, quality target based on OPPM,improved the cost of poor quality elements, improve the cost of poor quality from the three aspects of process quality control, the quality of decision making and management method, verifies its effectiveness which are combined with the actual case of X company.
