| With the domestic ageing population problem the end of the20th century, the long-term care insurance has become the hotspot in the field of insurance. Increasing numbers of domestic scholars study the demand, product design, international comparison and policy-making of long-term care insurance However, the main research methods are confined to the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis based on questionnaire and the research content is mainly to discuss a variety of factors.In this paper, we use empirical analysis to discuss the influence of life insurance and social insurance on the demand for long-term care insurance. We collect panel data of30provinces from year2006to year2011to set up double logarithm linear model and then make empirical analysis. Results include that life insurance mainly substitutes the demand for long-term care insurance and that social insurance mainly boosts the demand for long-term care insurance. Besides, we conclude the influence of other factors on the demand for long-term care insurance. Additionally, we give some advice on the development of long-term care insurance in China based on the empirical research results.This article is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, we introduce the research background, content, significance, methods, the structure of the article and the innovation and limitation of the research. In the second chapter, we elaborate the related research results at home and abroad. In third chapter, we introduce the long-term care insurance, which is the basis of Chapter4. In the forth chapter, we analyze the influence of life insurance and social insurance on the demand for long-term care insurance with theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. In the fifth chapter, we conclude the limitation of this article and the direction of further research and then give some advice on the development of long-term care insurance in China. |
