APEC Trade And Investment Liberalization Process And China 's Policy Choice Analysis

To promote trade and investment liberalization is an important target of the AsiaPacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). As the Asian largest Economic CooperationForum, APEC plays a decisive role in global economic activities. In the process ofpromoting the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, APEC created a unique mode ofcooperation.Hitherto, APEC has achieved remarkable results in goods trade, service trade andinvestment liberalization and other fields. However, as long as the world political andeconomic situation changed a lot, the development of APEC also encounteredchallenges. As a regional economic cooperation organization forum, APEC has acontradiction between the hard target and soft mechanism. Theseactors objectively weakened the attractiveness and influence of APEC.This thesis first gives an overview of the APEC in the past26years. Then itanalyzed achievements on goods trade, services trade and investment. In the analysis ofthe progress of Chinese in APEC trade and investment liberalization, points out themain problems and challenges in the development of APEC. Finally, it analyzes thechoice of China participating in the progress of APEC trade and investmentliberalization.
