《The Study Of Shaanxi Transportation Construction During The Period Of The Third Line Construction》 in view of transportation construction of Shaanxi promoted economic and social development during the period of the third line construction. The third line construction is one of the significant strategic adjustments of industrial layout made by the Party Central Committee since the foundation of PRC, which helps realize the goal of industry transference from the eastern region to the western region. And Shaanxi province plays an important role in the third line construction which greatly promoted the development of the transportation and the industry field of Shaanxi.This thesis will give a briefly introduction to the general situation of Shaanxi transport construction in this period and the influence it has upon the industrial as well as agricultural area from aspects of objective reasons, its layout in Shaanxi and the achievements of the third line construction respectively. Under the background of TLC, Shaanxi made great progress in railway and highway construction. Relying on such convenience transportation, Shaanxi gradually formed an industrial system which is complete in range but mainly based on energy, machinery, defense and metallurgy industries. Meanwhile, the basic conditions of agriculture in Shaanxi also got great improvement among which the water conservancy and irrigation situation and the consumption of fertilizer and pesticide made significant improvement than before. And the Shaanxi transport construction laid a foundation of the economic development, at the same time it also made some contribution to the later economic development of Shaanxi after the reform and opening-up. However, as the economic construction of planned economic system for the preparation of war, the TLC in Shaanxi also has some unreasonable aspects which had a certain negative impacts on later regional economic development.Transport construction is the foundation of the development for national economy and similarly the transport building in Shaanxi in this period laid a primary foundation of the development of economy as well as the national defense industry, played an important role in the cultural development of the economic society and also provided referential experience for the present economic development of Shaanxi province.
