A Statistical Study On The Contribution Of Beijing Municipal Government Expenditure To Economic Growth

Economic growth is the eternal theme of economic analysis.How to promote and keep economy stable and smooth progress is one of the key fields which many economics are studying.It is also the important problem which our government pay much attention to. The third plenary session of the eighteenth has been successfully concluded.The meeting proposed to speed up the transformation of government’s function and to deepen the reform of the fiscal and tax system.Scientific macroeconomic regulation and effective government’s control is the inherent requirement of giving full play to the advantages of the socialist market economy system.We must change government’s function, deepen the reform of administrative system, innovate the style of administrative management, enhance our government’s credibility and execution, and construct a law-oriented and service-oriented government.Government’s spending is the major embodiment of its function,and it plays a significant direct and indirect impact in promoting our economic growth.Beijing,the capital of China, is the center of Chinese polity, culture, education and international exchange,therefore,Beijing plays an important role in effecting and stimulating Chinese long-term economic development.It keeps the same pace with the requirements of the Times to do a in-depth research in the current situation of government’s expenditure of Beijing and its contribution to the macro economic growth.On the one hand,the research can enrich related theories of Beijing economic growth,on the other hand,it can provide the feasible opinion and the suggestion for future government fiscal decision-making and implementation execution,which has a good theoretical and practical significance.In order to better study the issue of the municipal government’s spending contribution to Beijing economic growth,this paper uses comprehensive methods,such as:theoretical research, description statistics,quantitative empirical research and so on.Besides,this thesis employs vertical comparison and horizontal comparison,so that,a more multidimensional environment research on the relationship between the government’s expenditure and economic growth of Beijing have been done,which makes it come true to illustrate the research problems more comprehensively and truly.Specifically,around the study of the issue between the Beijing municipal government’s expenditure and economic growth,this paper is divided into four chapters: the first part is the introduction part.this part leads to the issue problem and introduces the significance of the research.Then it summarizes different research methods by related literature at home and abroad and concludes three kinds of relationship between government expenditure and economic growth in specific time of particular area.Last it put forward the context’s logic and branches combined with a clear chart andlists the paper’s three innovative research ideas.The second part is Beijing’s related theory and the present situational description.As to the relationship changes between Beijing municipal government’s expenditure and economic growth,this paper contrasts it in the domestic level and its own development by descriptive statistical methods and by forms;The third part is modeling statistical analyses.Under the former part research,this part pay attention to quantitative modeling study of contributive rate of Beijing government’s spending to its economy.In addition,the comparison to Shanghai shows the comparable problems of the development of Beijing.The result is that the contributive level of Beijing government’s spending to the economy is slightly higher than that of Shanghai,that is to say,Beijing economic growth is far more influenced by government spending.The last part is the conclusion and policy Suggestions and open research questions.Through the above research content,we can conclude several problems among Beijing municipal expenditure and economic growth,such as,uneven phenomenon of the economy,and try to put forward the relevant policy recommendations.Beijing can further improve the efficiency of government spending and develop its private economy.Keep a reasonable and balanced promotion of the sustainable development of Beijing economy.
