Electronic information technology and intelligent embedded technology have a lot of applications on agricultural production.facilitate agricultural management and participation, we call it "precision agriculture". Its most basic requirement is:according to the parameters measured by intelligent instrument,we make the agricultural production resources more reasonable and effective,and expect to obtain the rich return with small investment. At last get the maximum benefits. And no matter the precision agriculture and the digital agriculture, all have the requirements: real-time, fast and nondestructive. In plant’s growth process, monitoring plant growth is very important. Plants, especially crops have more requirements. So for the agricultural industry decision makers and information processing system,how to get the information more quickly and more accurately is becoming a big problem.Scientists from all over the wold are studying the plant information collection technology.They provide many methods. But in the factors of influencing plants, chlorophyll is one important factor, because chlorophyll can reflect plant growing tedency and it can tell people wether the crop lack nitrogenous fertilizer.So this paper discussed how to measure chlorophyll,the principle of chlorophyll measurement,how to design the chlorophyll meter and the software system. The specific content can be divided into t four aspects:1.Based on lambert-beer’s law and addictive property of light, we deduce the principle of measuring chlorophyll by calculating the frequency.It is concluded that the linear relationship exists between the three kinds of light and chlorophyll content.Then we establish a linear measurement regression model.2. Optimize the hardware structure and use the STM32as the main processor.The design is divided into battery power supply module,LED lighting module,signal processing module, SD card memory module and USB recognition function.We also optimize the product to make the hardware more easy to use.3. In the hand-held chlorophyll meter,we embed μC/OS-II system in STM32.It makes the programs more stable.4. We do the cucumber leaves test experiment,and analyze the results between SPAD502and my device.
