In order to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying porcine s intramuscular fatdeposition, the transcriptional profile of longissimus dorsi muscle between Yorkshire (lowerintramuscular fat content,)and Songliao Black Swine(higher intramuscular fat content) werecompared by microarrays, and the differentially expressed genes were verified by real-timePCR.. The results were as follows:315differentially expressed genes were found between the two breeds, including155up-regulated genes and160down-regulated genes. Functional cluster analysis showed that theyinvolved in401processes of biology,388cellular components and415molecular functions.Real-time PCR was used to verify the differential expression of11genes chosen randomly fromthe microarray analysis, the results showed that the difference of the relative quantitativeexpressions of IGF2and SMAD3in individuals were exceeded the difference in breeds, whichmight displayed they were not related to intramuscular fat deposition, the relative quantitativeexpressions of MYBPH had no difference in the two breeds, and the expression of BRAK wasopposite to the chip, only the expression of AK3L1、ADIPOQ、PPARGC-1、PRKAG、NOR-1、CA3and UCP3were consistent with the chip, so they could be related to intramuscular fatdeposition and could be the candidate gene for further study.
