Forage introduction which has relatively high ecological effects and integratedeffects. Qilian mountain is an important area of the Tibetan Plateau, It has importantstrategic meanings in ecological and livelihood. To solve the problem of lacking theforage species on ecological restoration of grassland in Qilian Mountain Area, it isvery necessary to introduce high quality forage species which are suitable for survivalin this place. They can provide high quality forage species for restoring grasslandvegetation effectively; governance "Black soil land", prevent soil and water loss, provide more forage grass production, provide direct economic benefits to localherders.The16forage species which were registered and cultured in the Tibetan Plateau,as well as some wild domesticated species which were introduced and selected inMole village, Qilian country, Qinghai province form the year2012to2013. Thepurpose is to select excellent forages which were suitable to plant in alpine meadowarea of Qilian mountains, they were used to reseed degraded grassland and hours ofproduction. They were planted in experiment plot. The study was complete blockdesign. They were regularly examined, removed weeds and killed rodents. Duringthat time the wintering rates and growth period of these forage species were observed, then measured botanical features, growth status and seed yield, and then analyzed thenutrition composition of these forage in the laboratory. Then processed data with thetool of Excel and SPSS, then evaluated the forages by using cluster analysis.Comprehensive analysis all the characters, the result showed that:1.Among the16forage species,15of them could survival the winter normally atthe altitude of3700m in Qilian Mountain.. There are11forage species could finishgrowth stages.2.Elymus sibiricus cv.Qingmu No.1had the highest fresh yield at2516.25g/m2 in the first year, Elymus sibircus cv Tongde had the lowest fresh yield at185g/m2inthe first year. Festuca SinensisKeng cv Qinghai had the highest fresh yield and hayyield which were1700g/m2and612g/m2, Stipa aliena had the lowest fresh yield andhay yield,as high as248.25g/m2and111.71g/m2. Elymus nutans Griseb.cv. Aba hadthe highest seed production which was152.95g/m2,Poa crymophila.cv.Qinghai,Elymus sibircus cv Tongde, Koeleria cristata, Puccinellia tenuiflora cv.Tongde andElymus nutans Griseb.cv. Aba had the higher maturation rates than others. They allhad resched more than80%.3.Contrastived analysis all the characters, the result showed that the11selectedforage species had good adaptability and extension value in Qilian mountain. Andthey were classified by their own characteristics. Grazing types forages: That are Poapratensis L.cv.Qinghai, Poa crymophila.cv.Qinghai, Poa.pratensis L.var.ancepsGaund.cv.Qinghai, Elymus sibircus cv Tongde, Festuca Sinensis Keng cv Qinghai,,Koeleria cristata, Kengyilia thoroldiana, Elymus nutans Griseb, Puccinelliatenuiflora cv.Tongde, Elymus nutans Griseb.cv.Aba. Ecotype forages: Elymustangutorum, Poa pratensis L.cv.Qinghai, Poa crymophila.cv.Qinghai, Puccinelliatenuiflora cv.Tongde, Kengyilia thoroldiana. Mowing forages: Elymus nutansGriseb.cv. Aba, Elymus nutans Griseb, Elymus sibircus cv Tongde, Festuca SinensisKeng cv Qinghai...
